How Can I Train My Cat to Use the Litter Box?

Are you frustrated with your kitten as a cat urinating outside the box, on your carpet or any other inappropriate place? I know how it feels, because it happened to my cat too. I thought I tried everything without success until I realized that my cat is stressed that the litter box in a noisy room next to my washer and dryer. Cats are quiet and shy animals who prefer their privacy in a quiet place when you defecate. So I changed the place a litter box for a more private place, and I quickly got trained.

Here are 7 reasons why your cat does not use the litter box.

litter box is dirty. clean it every day. Cats do not like the smell of dirty litter box

Your cat has a urinary tract infection. When your kitty pees all over the house, have it checked by a veterinarian. Urinary tract infections are common in cats singing.

Your cat is suffering from diabetes. diabetes cause frequent urination May He not make it to the litter box every time.

your kitten is not a brand of cat litter you use. It is best to use non-scented type. What smells good does not necessarily mean that it smells good cat. When using a new brand cat litter is best to gradually introduce a small amount of mixing new with old.

Your Cat May be under stress. Cats are creatures of habit and easily stressed just like humans. It may be pointed out that share space with other cats and dogs or increased activity in the household or any other change in the status quo. Do not physically punish the cat because it will only add to the stress. If all else fails the vet can treat your cat, which combined with a gentle caress can alleviate stress.

Your cat does not know where the litter box is. When your kitten is busy playing to forget where it is. Once you find a suitable place to try not to change.

Does your cat have to share a litter box with other cats? some cats do not mind at all, while other cats are very territorial. Maybe your cat belongs to another category, and should have its own private space.

Do you have a cat that is:

* bites you, your children, or unexpected guests?
* Scratching sofa bed and other furniture?
* Digging in plants?
* Fighting with other cats in your household?
* Keeping you awake at night?
* Just plain right?

The most important rule to remember is always to your cat with love and tenderness. Scolding your cat or physically punishing him makes him afraid of you and results in the opposite of what you want to accomplish. Cats and other animals react to the behavior of training. Reward him with strokes and treats for good behavior.
