Toilet Train Your Cat

There are many advantages to having a cat who is toilet-trained. Once the cat learns to use the toilet, there will be no need for a litter box. That means less money spent on litter, less odor in the house, and, of course, less work (no more cleaning litter box ).

There are several steps you can use to help the cat to switch from using the litter box to use the toilet. Before you even start making the switch, to help the cat become accustomed to the fact that the bathroom is now a place where it should go to relieve themselves. In other words, the best chance of success comes if the cat is already used to go to the bathroom to use the litter box.

First, you need to find something called the litter bowl. Get a bowl, like a large mixing or salad bowl, which fits into the bowl of your toilet. You may need to use a metal container that can then shape (bending and banging) to fit. Place the bowl inside the toilet and fill it with litter. (Obviously it helps if you shut off the water in your toilet tank and flushed the toilet first.) Put the seat down, but not the cover. You may have to provide cover in an upright position so that the cat from her house down on himself (and sealing shut litter bowl, which led to the accident!) Remove the old litter box, as it is now becoming a bowl of cat litter box. Be very proactive about removing any classes right away so the cat feels comfortable using it (they do not like messy boxes and messy bowl will help ).

Once the cat is accustomed to a garbage bowl next step is to get the cat accustomed to standing on the seat, instead of sand. To do this, you need some heavy-duty cardboard or a piece of plastic, strong enough to support the weight of your cat, and large enough to cover the bowl and toilet seat. Cut a small hole, about six inches in diameter in the middle of the lid. In this way a cat paw in the sand, but will not allow the cat is actually sitting in the litter when it koristite.Mačka May miss a few times, but without trying to get used to sitting in the sand. Continue to remove the soiled litter, but not to charge as you want the level of litter to lower and lower to help make the next move.

Once the cat is always standing on the front page, and passes through a hole (or close to it), you're ready for the next phase. Continue to reduce the amount of litter until it is almost nothing. Then, the day will be around all day, or better yet, the whole weekend, fill the container with water instead. This stage is not comfortable for you and your cat, and this is the hardest part of training a cat. However, just remember how close you are saying goodbye to the litter box forever!

Once the cat is comfortable using a hole in the lid of the water in the bowl, you can remove the bowl completely. Then the cat uses the toilet itself, but still with standing on the platform that you have made. At this point you can start increasing the size of the hole, little by little. Make a hole in inches larger in diameter, and let the cat use it successfully. Then increase the size again. Repeat until the hole is almost the size of the bowl. At this point you can remove the cover together, a cat should be using the toilet seat to stand on, go to the toilet. No more litter box changes, you can only flush toilet. (And yes, you can actually train your cat to the same level as !)
